Nourishing Communities and Combating Food Waste

Since 2024, TastyOne has proudly partnered with FareShare to tackle two important challenges: food insecurity and food waste. Together, we’ve built a strong and trusted collaboration that not only redistributes surplus produce but also creates meaningful impact across communities in need.

Working Together for a Greater Cause

FareShare’s mission is simple yet vital: to combat food waste and redistribute it to frontline charities so that vulnerable Australians have access to nutritious meals. For us, this partnership goes beyond numbers. It’s about shared values of social responsibility and sustainability. By combining FareShare’s expertise with our produce and preparation, we ensure good food isn’t wasted but instead reaches those who need it most.

Reducing Waste, Feeding People

Food waste remains a pressing challenge, but partnerships like this prove real change is possible. FareShare provides millions of meals every year, all while reducing the environmental impact of wasted produce. To date, TastyOne has proudly processed over 100 tons of produce for FareShare. This has enabled the creation of at least 200,000 nutritious meals for individuals in need, an achievement we’re deeply proud of.

By supplying high-quality, prepped vegetables, we’ve helped streamline FareShare’s meal production process. This reduces the hours volunteers spend on manual preparation and allows the organisation to serve more people, more efficiently. Every kilo of food processed is a step toward stronger, healthier communities.

Giving Back Through Volunteering

Our commitment to FareShare extends beyond produce. Every second month, 10 members of the TastyOne team volunteer at FareShare’s kitchens and warehouses, helping to cook and prepare meals for people doing it tough.

These experiences not only give our employees the opportunity to give back directly, but also strengthen our company culture by connecting us more closely with the communities we serve.

We are honoured to continue supporting FareShare in its mission to turn surplus into sustenance. Together, we’re proving that collaboration can create meaningful change, reducing food waste, feeding people, and nourishing communities across Australia.
